One of the most meaningful parts of my role is connecting with members at community events, in our branches, and through conversations with our Farmers family. When I do, I often ask a simple question: “How can we serve you better?”
The answers are always thoughtful, but one theme has remained remarkably consistent. Members value the personal service and trust they’ve come to expect from Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union, and encourage us to continue evolving, making banking easier, expanding our capabilities, and delivering even greater value.
The second quarter has been an exciting one for our credit union, and I’m proud to share just a few of the highlights we’ve achieved together.
In April, we celebrated an incredible milestone, our 90th Anniversary during our Annual Meeting. Reaching nine decades of service is a testament to the trust our members have placed in us, the dedication of our employees, and the leadership of those who have helped shape our credit union over the years. While we’re proud of our history, we’re even more excited about the future we’re building together.
We also proudly opened our new branch in Burbank, California, creating a modern, welcoming environment where members can receive personalized financial guidance while enjoying the convenience of today’s banking experience. Whether you prefer to visit us in person or bank digitally, we’re committed to meeting you where you are.
Our credit union family also continued to grow as we welcomed new members who chose to place their trust in us. Each new membership strengthens our shared purpose and allows us to continue investing in better products, better services, and greater value for everyone we serve.
One of our highest priorities is delivering meaningful value to our members, and we’ve been encouraged by the response to several of the enhancements we’ve introduced this year.
Our promotional Certificate rates, launched earlier this year, have attracted strong interest from both new and existing members, helping them earn more on their savings while contributing to healthy deposit growth for the credit union. We also expanded our auto loan terms to up to 96 months, giving members greater flexibility and helping make purchasing a vehicle more affordable. Together with continued enhancements to our lending and savings solutions, these initiatives reflect our commitment to helping our members achieve their financial goals.
As we look ahead to the third quarter, you’ll begin to see another exciting evolution of our credit union. We’ll introduce our refreshed logo, launch our new website, and begin using FIG Credit Union as our “doing business as” (DBA) name. While our legal name remains Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union, FIG Credit Union represents a modern, approachable brand that reflects where we’re headed while honoring the trust and heritage we’ve built over the past 90 years.
While you’ll notice a refreshed look, one thing isn’t changing: our commitment to serving you. Your accounts, your membership, and the people who support you remain the same. This is simply the next chapter in our journey as we continue to grow and evolve alongside our members.
These exciting changes will coincide with the launch of our completely redesigned digital banking platform later this year. This new experience has been shaped by member feedback and designed to make banking simpler, faster, more secure, and more intuitive.
For our consumer members, you’ll enjoy enhanced security, easier money movement, expanded self-service capabilities, an improved mobile and online banking experience, and the return of popular features like Zelle®.
For our business members, we’re introducing powerful new capabilities designed to help you manage your business more efficiently. New features will include enhanced cash flow management tools, QuickBooks® and other accounting software integrations, real-time payments, and an improved digital banking experience that helps you spend less time banking and more time running your business.
These enhancements aren’t simply about new technology; they’re about making your financial life easier. They reflect our ongoing commitment to listening, innovating, and delivering solutions that meet your needs today while preparing us for the future.
